Advanced Agile Talk Nigel and Chet

Virtual Agile Meetup with Nigel Baker, Chet Hendrickson and Michigan Technology Services

Michigan Technology Services offers instructor-led Agile and Scrum training and coaching. We collaborate with stellar people – like Nigel Baker and Chet Hendrickson, globally recognized Agile trainers and coaches.

In a pre-Covid world our training would take place at our location in the Farmington Hills/Novi area, 20 miles outside of Detroit, or at your location anywhere around the world. Our Agile workshops and Agile coaching sessions are now offered online/virtually, reducing your need to travel.

We continue to support the local Agile community and sponsor regional Agile conferences and meetups. We have successfully run Agile and Certified ScrumMaster, Product Owner and Agile Leadership courses for multiple teams from globally recognized organizations. We also provide Agile coaching for great companies, helping them with their Agile journey.

We are planning a series of free virtual meetups for our Agile friends.

Meetup with Nigel Baker and Chet Hendrickson – March 24, 2021

“What Does Advanced Really Mean?”

The move towards ADVANCED Agile has begun!

This session is about an investigation into the concept of advanced agility and Scrum and what on earth that actually means.

WARNING: Contains deep thinking!

Topics include:

  • AdvancING over advanced – and how that is built into the manifesto
  • Blooms Taxonomy and how advanced can mean doing simple things better rather than just more new ideas
  • SAFe-to-fail over fail safe.
  • How your mental model defines whether a framework is a trellis for growth or a cage of limitation.

An hour with Nigel and Chet is not something you want to miss.

We will end with Nigel and Chet answering some of your questions. We expect some great conversations.

Nigel Baker is one of the leading Certified Scrum Trainers in the world. He has a deep background in Scrum, software engineering, project management and coaching. Extensive experience with Scrum in enterprise settings, including distributed and off-shored teams. Nigel’s particular interest lies in using Scrum in organisational change. (intentionally left with UK spelling, in honor of Nigel’s home)
Chet Hendrickson has a quarter century’s experience in information technology and software development. He has been active in Agile software development since its beginning and was the team leader on the Chrysler C3 project, the first project to follow all the practices of Extreme Programming. Chet is a Certified Scrum Trainer and was the first signatory of the Agile Manifesto. He teaches and coaches Agile teams all over the globe.
