Embracing Conflict for Results

Embracing Conflict for Results with Tricia Broderick and Michigan Technology Services

A DIVE INTO EMBRACING CONFLICT WORKSHOP CREATED BY THE CO-AUTHOR OF LEAD WITHOUT BLAME: BUILDING RESILIENT LEARNING TEAMS.

Michigan Technology Services offers instructor-led Embracing Conflict for Results training, as well as other Agile and Scrum courses, through a partnership with Tricia Broderick.

In a pre-Covid world our training would take place at our location in the Farmington Hills/Novi area, 20 miles outside of Detroit, or at your location anywhere around the world. Our Agile workshops and Agile coaching sessions are now offered online/virtually, reducing your need to travel.

While many educators fly into metro Detroit to deliver Scrum and Agile classes at a hotel, and then leave, our core group of trainers and coaches live here, grew up here and/or support the local Agile community. We continue to sponsor regional Agile conferences and meetups. We have successfully run Agile Leadership, ScrumMaster and Product Owner courses for multiple teams from globally recognized organizations.

What is the Embracing Conflict for Results workshop?

To get the best results, wisdom from a team is always better.  But people are complex. When we work with other people, the probability that some form of conflict will arise goes up. For some, conflict can be truly uncomfortable. Yet, when it comes to high performing teams, conflict is inevitable and necessary.  This conflict only has negative impacts when we are unequipped with the knowledge and tools to approach conflict in a healthy way.

In this workshop, participants build context for why conflict should be embraced to avoid drama. Together, participants unpack various patterns that escalate conflict into drama impeding achieving results.  Gain practice in a set of foundational conflict and feedback techniques. And expect to analyze the value of professional coaching skills for leaders. All while, discovering new possibilities through learning and laughter.

To advance your leadership and teams, it’s time to explore the benefits of conflict.
