Helping Change Stick with Tricia Broderick and Michigan Technology Services
A CHANGE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP CREATED BY THE CO-AUTHOR OF LEAD WITHOUT BLAME: BUILDING RESILIENT LEARNING TEAMS.
Michigan Technology Services offers instructor-led Foundations of Change Management training, as well as other Agile and Scrum courses, through a partnership with Tricia Broderick.
In a pre-Covid world our training would take place at our location in the Farmington Hills/Novi area, 20 miles outside of Detroit, or at your location anywhere around the world. Our Agile workshops and Agile coaching sessions are now offered online/virtually, reducing your need to travel.
While many educators fly into metro Detroit to deliver Scrum and Agile classes at a hotel, and then leave, our core group of trainers and coaches live here, grew up here and/or support the local Agile community. We continue to sponsor regional Agile conferences and meetups. We have successfully run Agile Leadership, ScrumMaster and Product Owner courses for multiple teams from globally recognized organizations.
What is the Helping Change Stick workshop?
One guarantee in organizations and teams is the essential need for successfully evolving to deliver value. And despite good intentions, the approach of simply telling the change details is rarely effective long term. The time is long overdue for leaders to learn how to help change stick for the individual, team and organization.
In this workshop, participants build context for what to expect upon announcing a change both individually and organizationally. Together, participants unpack various components necessary for lasting impact of the change. In addition, gaining practice in building a change management plan that leverages John Kotter’s Leading Change model. All while, discovering new possibilities through learning and laughter.
To advance your leadership and teams, it’s time to help change stick.
Workshop Topics (two hours):
- Examine the organizational and individual response patterns to announced changes
- Explore the various components necessary to help make change stick
- Deliberate practice building a change management approach using Kotter’s Leading Change model
