Kanban Fundamentals

Kanban Fundamentals with Tricia Broderick and Michigan Technology Services

A DIVE INTO KANBAN FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP CREATED BY THE CO-AUTHOR OF LEAD WITHOUT BLAME: BUILDING RESILIENT LEARNING TEAMS.

Michigan Technology Services offers instructor-led Kanban Fundamentals training, as well as other Agile and Scrum courses, through a partnership with Tricia Broderick.

In a pre-Covid world our training would take place at our location in the Farmington Hills/Novi area, 20 miles outside of Detroit, or at your location anywhere around the world. Our Agile workshops and Agile coaching sessions are now offered online/virtually, reducing your need to travel.

While many educators fly into metro Detroit to deliver Scrum and Agile classes at a hotel, and then leave, our core group of trainers and coaches live here, grew up here and/or support the local Agile community. We continue to sponsor regional Agile conferences and meetups. We have successfully run Agile Leadership, ScrumMaster and Product Owner courses for multiple teams from globally recognized organizations.

What is the Kanban Fundamentals workshop?

Over the years, all sorts of reasons have been given that make it obvious there is a lack of understanding of Kanban fundamentals.  For example, let’s do Kanban because it’s easier, it has less rules/roles, and/or it just means visualizing the work we do. To truly gain the best results, a solid foundation of the principles and steps behind the Kanban Method is necessary.

In this workshop, participants build an understanding of the value of focusing on improving the flow to done. Together, participants unpack various pitfalls and challenges that limit the potential of the product and team. Gain practice in a set of foundational conflict and feedback techniques. Expect to analyze and practice the  principles and steps. All while, discovering new possibilities through learning and laughter.

To advance your leadership and teams, it’s time to explore the benefits of kanban.
