A+ PC Technician Certification Training and Computer Repair Training
Michigan Technology Services offers instructor-led A+ Certification training. The training can take place at our location in Farmington Hills, 20 miles outside of Detroit, or onsite at your office anywhere throughout the United States. While there are instructor led live online A+ Certification training options available, we prefer in person classroom training for A+ Certification classes.
A+ PC technician certification is a credential that the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) offers for entry-level computer professionals. The A+ PC technician certification identifies skills that PC techs need to perform their jobs competently and successfully. A+ classes at Michigan Technology Services go beyond basic computer repair training.
In our opinion, to be a well rounded IT professional in the Detroit area you should understand the entire network infrastructure - from the bottom up. It would be hard to troubleshoot an issue on the network if all you understood was the Network Operating System, as often the problem lies at the physical level. It also would be interesting, to say the least, if you told your manager that you could add a new user to the network, or set up a Windows Server as a domain controller, but couldn't replace a network card or format a hard drive.
Here's another reason to consider A+ PC Tech certification. Many jobs today in the metro Detroit, MI area are at small and medium size companies, where there will be little division of labor - you'll be expected to do a variety of tasks. The better you are at these tasks, the better the odds are that you'll be the IT professional they keep around.
Michigan Technology Services will go beyond the objectives that CompTIA outlines. A sampling of what you will learn includes:
- PC and laptop configuration
- Installation and upgrading of PC components
- Diagnosis & troubleshooting of PC problems
- Computer Repair
- Preventive maintenance and safety
- Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 configuration
- Operating system administration
- Basic Windows networking and security
- Windows troubleshooting
- Configuring common network connectivity and email features for mobile operating systems
- New Linux, cloud computing and virtualization objectives
